So What's My Story?

Once upon a time, long ago, in a realm far beyond the bounds of
time and space, a young sonic sorcerer set out on an adventure.
Armed with cut'n'paste waveform weaponry and guided by a faery muse,
he destroys the old order...warping time, space and subsonic bass,
A legendary waveform wizard known by many names throughout
the musical millenia, in the modern era he is called:
RockstarRaverBoy. This is his story.

R ockstarRaverBoy (aka Baron L. Toler) is probably olderskool than you,
yet he'll never hold it against you, unless you want him too!
His influences include a bizzare genre spanning auditory mix-mash.

N ever one to accept limitations, RockstarRaverBoy broke free of genres,
embracing the diverse sounds of artists ranging from NWA to the Beatles,
The Doors to DJ Aphrodite, The Cure to Debbie Gibson, Nine Inch Nails
to Nsync, and Ice Cube to Mandy Moore.

H e finds new sonic delights, where others only hear chaos or noise
He dances to spontaneous remixes and the stuttered pop rhythms
created by dirty CDs, skipping and glitching in the player.
RockstarRaverBoy tunes his radio to the wrong frequencies.
Somewhere between the country and hip hop stations he finds
fleeting ethereal remixes hiding amongst bleeding radio waves.

H e has always loved mixing random tracks together, but for a while,
he specialized in oldskool rave, UK (Happy) Hardcore and jump-up
drum and bass. He hosted and mixed a weekly UK Oldskool rave radio
show on WUAG FM in Greensboro, NC. During the show's second season,
RockstarRaverBoy rechristened the 3 hour timeslot "Adrenaline",
to create North Carolina's first radio show exclusively playing
UK Happy Hardcore and Drum and Bass.

R ockstarRaverBoy's uplifting song selection, mixing style and
crazy hands to the sky ethusiasm when behind the decks,
led to bookings at numerous events in North Carolina,
Tennessee, Baltimore, MD, Alabama and London, UK.

S oon the time came when RockstarRaverBoy left
North Carolina for "Music City" - Nashville, Tennessee.
Alongside Rob J, the duo founded the city's premiere
dance music and club wear retail shop, know as
"Bedlam Records and Clothing". From this platform
the duo organized a series of underground raves,
including "Star Jump", Tennessee's first exclusively
UK Happy Hardcore/Drum and Bass event featuing
headlining DJs such as Odi, 3D, and Muppetfucker(Noahphex).

R ockstarRaverBoy then decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia,
From his base of operations in this southern metropolis,
he slowly built his recording studio and focused on production.
Unfortunately, the fates conspired against him and he suffered
the devestating loss of his studio along with months of work.
Yet, then came one brilliant ray of hope! After years of searching,
RockstarRaverBoy finally found his long sought after muse.
Daily brainstorms now rain down upon him, give him an
unending source of inspiration. With this magick guiding him,
RockstarRaverBoy immersed himself in a production frenzy.
He created dozens original compositions and dance remixes.
(Some of these works will soon be released on his upcoming
"13 Love Songs" CD, featuring a variety of styles including:
Pop punk, trance, breaks and drum and bass.)

I n recent times, RockstarRaverBoy has returned to his musical roots.
Charged with unchained energy, inspired by intelligence, beauty and love,
he blends dispirate musical genres into phenomenal mind bending sonic ecstasy.

S imon, Randy and Paula couldn't possibly comprehend
the magnitude of RockstarRaverBoy's mind warping talents
and smashing personality, so he won't be going for an 8 week stay
to Hollywood as a contestant on American Idol. Instead,
RockstarRaverBoy is going all the way!
He'll be coming to California to stay!
Big changes are in play.
Get ready for May! :)
